Behavior Technicians (BT) provide treatment to clients under the supervision of a BCBA. All interventions are based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. All BTs must be certified as a Behavior Technician (CBT) with the WA State Department of Health (DOH). If you are new to the field, we will assist you with acquiring the required training course, at our expense, to achieve this certification.
Certified Behavior Technician Role:
- Model Values and Mission Statement at all times
- Report to Lead Staff and Program Supervisor
- Work schedule as assigned; attend 90% of work schedule
- Work directly with clients implementing treatment plans as directed in homes, clinic, and community
- Implement session activities as directed by Program Supervisor
- Drive self between sessions when needed
- Record accurate data during session
- Create comprehensive session notes for each session before session end
- Sub across programs as needed and as assigned
- Know, follow, and remain updated on Policies and Procedures
- Know, follow, and remain updated on Employee Handbook
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with children/teens; and/or adults
- Experience working with people with disabilities
- Ability to pass a background check consistent with 43.43 RCW
- Ability to pass 40-hour behavior technician training and pass skills competency assessment
- Ability to pass Safety Care Specialist Training
- Ability to demonstrate cultural sensitivity
- Ability to lift 40 lbs
- Ability to run after children and get up and down off of the floor
- Ability to play and build rapport with children/teens
- Ability to accept and implement feedback
- Efficient and effective communication skills
- Ability to learn and use treatment related technologies
- Bilingual is a plus
Preferred Experience in:
Para Educator / Child Care / Babysitting / Respite Care / Kids / Disabilities / Paraeducator/ Personal Care / Caregiver / Caregiving / Group Home / Direct Support Professional / CBT / RBT / Registered Behavior Technician
Requirements:
· Per the Washington State Mandate, must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination and boosters before hiring
· Ability to pass a background check consistent with 43.43 RCW

· Reliable vehicle with valid and current proof of auto insurance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $24.50 per hour
