Job Description
POSITION TITLE: Program Quality Assurance
DIVISION: Programming
SUPERVISOR: Director, Programming
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
PURPOSE:
The purpose of this position is to ensure quality services and compliance with state and federal standards for all Adult Services. Implement overall agency quality improvement measures by providing technical, administrative, and specialist knowledge and skills using auditing and coaching measurement systems throughout Adult Services in order to provide safe and quality programs within the regulations set forth by licensing and funding agency standards.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Complete investigations of Abuse, Neglect, or Exploitation as assigned.
- Ensure investigations for Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation are completed in a timely manner
- Submit completed investigation report to Director, Program Compliance and Community Living Management for review.
- Assist with corrective action following a survey or audit specific program areas when needed.
- Assist Director, Program Compliance, and Community Living management to complete corrective action as needed.
- Verify completion of corrective action items within one (1) month of initial audit.
- Assist in ensuring the group homes are prepared for external surveys or audits and know when surveys are scheduled.
- Perform random audits of client’s files in the Provide system.
- Perform audits for all programs, including on-site visits where applicable.
- Review audit findings with the Regional Assistant Director, Regional Program Director, Senior Director, and Vice President as needed.
- Assist programs with preparation for CARF, FSSA, and /or other audits. Ensure files are complete with required documentation.
- Display a team-oriented, cooperative attitude while maintaining a positive working relationship with co-workers, supervisory staff, and clients.
- Additional duties as requested.
ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS:
- Excellent and professional communication skills, both oral and written.
- Create a culture of customer focus and provision of quality services.
- Have own transportation to/from meetings and events in and around the entire service area.
- Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Coordinate and manage special projects as needed.
- Comply with standards of DSI, APSE, NRA, BDDS, CARF and other governing bodies.
- Ability to work flexible, non-standard hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of both.
- Previous experience working with clients with intellectual disabilities is preferred.
- Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining annual certification in CPR, First Aid, CPI and Med Core A & B and perform if necessary.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
- Maintain a valid Indiana driver’s license, insurance on personal vehicle (minimum of PLPD with medical liability coverage), and maintain insurability as defined by the agency liability insurance carrier.
