Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Florida provides programs and services for adolescents and adults who face significant emotional, behavioral and intellectual/developmental challenges. Located in

Winter Park, FL , this position is responsible for:

Providing Personal Care : Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.

Behavioral Support : Implement behavior management plans and support individuals in developing coping strategies.

Skill Development : Facilitate skill-building activities, including social skills, communication, and life skills training.

Crisis Intervention : Recognize signs of distress and de-escalate situations effectively and safely.

Documentation : Maintain accurate records of client progress, incidents, and daily activities.

Transportation : Assist clients with transportation to appointments, community activities, or school.

Collaboration : Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, nurses, and family members.

Training and Education : Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on best practices in behavioral health support.

Position Details:

Salary:

_Starts at $16.50 - $20.18 / hour_

_PLUS_ _additional compensation:_ _Shift differential (up to $2.00 / hour)._ _Relevant experience in field (up to $2.00 / hour)._ _Credit for higher education ($.48/hr for Bachelors degree; $.72 / hr for Masters degree)._

Shifts: Currently hiring for 2nd (2:00pm to 11:00pm) and 3rd shift (10:00pm - 9:00am). You

will be required to work at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday).

Qualifications

Education:

High school diploma or GED required Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, Social Work and experience in the field is _preferred_

Experience:

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), DSP, Direct Care, Behavior Technician with experience working with IDD, Mental Health and/or dually diagnosed populations _preferred_

Schedule:

Must be able to complete a two-week (Monday - Friday) new hire orientation class; hours are approximately 9:00am to 5:00pm each day. Orientation is held in Orlando by the international airport.

Must be able

to work at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday).

Must be able to work holidays.

Other Requirements:

Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Test, Physical, and TB Test. Valid driver's license Occasional driving of Devereux vehicles for business purposes. Must be able to drive a car and a passenger van (which holds up to 15 passengers). Devereux has a zero-tolerance policy for abuse and maintains policies and procedures to systematically reduce the risk of abuse to occur in our organization. Devereux fosters a culture of reporting abuse, and will cooperate with the authorities to the fullest extent possible.
