Essential Responsibilities
- Responsible for increasing and maintaining company profitability by maintaining accurate inventory levels.
- Core Processing
- Quality control
- Communication and customer service
- Safety and compliance
- Develops and implements procedures for ensuring that adequate inventory levels are present.
- Comes up with ways to dispose of or sell obsolete items in the inventory.
- Works with other teams including Sales, Shipping and Receiving and others as necessary.
- Ensures that inventory counts are completed regularly and in a timely manner.
- Conducts audits and reports to Management as needed.
- Trains other employees in cycle counting and inventory control.
- Files claims with manufacturers or seller when defective goods are received.
- Instructs others on how and where to return defective goods.
- Keeps work area tidy, clean, and organized.
- Inspect returned parts and cores to ensure they meet the quality standards for reuse or
- Identify defective or damaged parts, document the issues, and determine if they can be
- Perform detailed inspections of cores and parts, including checking serial numbers,
- Process cores in a timely manner and update status in inventory management systems.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing parts, including core return logs and
- Organize and store processed cores and parts according to company inventory
- Track parts through the entire lifecycle, ensuring proper categorization and timely
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management of stock shortages or surplus cores.
- Identify and segregate parts that cannot be reused or refurbished for appropriate
- Inspect cores for damage, ensuring they meet customer specifications and the company's warranty requirements.
- Assist in identifying recurring issues or patterns with returned parts to improve quality
- Communicate with customers and vendors regarding returns, discrepancies, and core
- Provide feedback to management regarding trends in part returns and issues with
- Maintain positive relationships with customers and vendors, ensuring smooth
- Coordinate the shipping of returned parts, ensuring they are properly packaged and
- Receive incoming shipments, verify parts against documentation, and inspect for
- Assist with unloading trucks and organizing cores in the warehouse or designated areas.
- Update databases and inventory management systems with the processed cores and
- Generate regular reports on the status of returned parts, inventory levels, and
- Document and track discrepancies in core returns, processing issues, or quality
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols for handling parts and materials in the
- Adhere to proper disposal or recycling procedures for parts that cannot be reused.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company policies and regulations,
- Assist in training new employees on core processing procedures and warehouse safety.
- Provide suggestions for process improvements related to core returns and inventory
- Occasionally assist with other warehouse functions, including inventory checks, stock
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- One to two years’ experience in wholesale/warehouse distribution.
- Knowledge of Parts preferred.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
- Sufficient manual dexterity to operate standard departmental equipment.
- Ability to operate motor vehicles.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Stamina to stand and walk for long periods of time.
