Principle Purpose of Job
Devil’s Thumb Ranch is looking for a driven and enthusiastic Hallowed Grounds Café Supervisor to take ownership of running our coffee shop as your business. This year-round leadership role offers the opportunity to oversee daily operations, manage a small team of 1–3 employees, and deliver exceptional guest experiences while growing your management skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the coffee shop, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, inventory management, and ensuring a safe and secure environment.
- Supervise and schedule a team of 1–3 employees based on business levels, ensuring smooth operations and excellent service.
- Foster a welcoming and collaborative atmosphere by leading by example and supporting team members during high-volume periods.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by creating genuine connections with guests and acting with a customer-first mindset.
- Consistently prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages and food items, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace for employees and guests.
- Drive operational success by identifying areas for improvement and implementing creative solutions to enhance the guest experience.
- Previous Leadership Experience: Prior barista or coffee shop management experience is preferred, but passion and a willingness to learn will also be considered.
- Customer-Centric Mindset: Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and genuinely with guests and colleagues.
- Organizational Skills: Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Team Leadership: Positive attitude and ability to motivate and mentor a small team to achieve common goals.
- Flexibility: Availability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform repetitive tasks, stand for long periods, and lift/carry moderate weights (20–30 lbs).
Compensation Description:
$16.00 – $20.00/hr Competitive pay commensurate with education and experience.

Due to the nature of our 24-hour operation, there is no guaranteed work schedule. Managers will try to accommodate specific schedule requests, but they are never guaranteed if business volume prohibits.
