Principle Purpose of Job

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods throughout the resort. This is a summer seasonal position responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, and distributing shipments efficiently and accurately while maintaining organization and inventory control.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspect all incoming shipments for damage before signing off on delivery.
• Verify and inspect all food items, including produce, meat, seafood, dairy, frozen goods, and dry storage items.
• Store all items in the correct locations, including dry storage, freezers, and coolers.
• Maintain proper stock rotation using FIFO (First In, First Out) principles to ensure product freshness.
• Receive and log all alcoholic beverages in the liquor storeroom, verifying deliveries against invoices.
• Record and report any damaged or missing items, ensuring proper documentation for vendor credits.
• Assist with inventory counts and organization of storage areas as needed.
• Support the updating of inventory pricing and lists.
• Coordinate and track special deliveries for groups and guests, notifying the appropriate departments.
• Deliver products and goods to various departments as needed.
• Secure all inventory items under lock and key when necessary.
• Deliver deposits to Bank and pick up/deliver mail to the USPS
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Controller or Staff Accountant.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Accounts Payable Coordinator and General Cashier.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in shipping and receiving preferred.
• Experience in food & beverage establishments is a plus.
• Familiarity with handling equipment such as dollies, hand carts, and pallet jacks.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; must pass MVR.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy packages.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including holidays as needed.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds for storing records and office supplies.

Compensation Description:

$18.00 - $24.00/hr Competitive pay commensurate with education and experience.

Due to the nature of our 24-hour operation, there is no guaranteed work schedule. Managers will try to accommodate specific schedule requests, but they are never guaranteed if business volume prohibits.
