The Camp Associate performs administrative work in support of the Devils Backbone Camp function. In this role, while performing various clerical and administrative duties to meet company needs, you may also manage certain programs within the company. This position supports various positions throughout the company, and requires the ability to work autonomously, but with significant direction. This role will typically complete work autonomously while daily tasks are monitored closely for completeness
Daily Duties, Functions, Responsibilities
· Answers routine correspondence for Devils Backbone Camp, specifically booking, changing & cancelling camp reservations.
- Year Round position with the busy season being May1-October 31.
- Responsible for overseeing the overall campground facility for the benefit and safety of campers
· Daily preparation of cashier reports, payroll and other daily, weekly and monthly reports.
· Oversee the collection reports and security of monies from registration fees and sales
· Assure timely inspections and repair of campground facilities.
· Maintain daily communication logs
· Consistent enforcement of Company and campground rules and policies
· Oversee/perform general maintenance, repair, and housekeeping

· Assist guests with directions and instructions of the day’s hospitality opportunities
· Performs basic accounting tasks.
· Meets/greets/screens customers/visitors. Answers questions and provides information.
· Assists Camp management administratively
· Establishes and maintains files.
· Answers phones, takes messages and provides responses.
· Receives, sorts, and opens mail (including parcel shipment). Manages bulk mailings.
· Picks up trash and litter around the facility and disposes of such waste;
· Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Thorough knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, equipment and clerical techniques.
- Hands on knowledge of housekeeping and grounds keeping standards.
- Human relations – must be a people person who thrives on public contact.
· Ability to type and transcribe accurately.
· Good organizational skills, multi-tasking, and the ability to management cash and other forms of money.
· Knowledge of business English and spelling.
· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and general public.
· Basic to Intermediate level proficiency in office-related software.
· Office equipment used includes computer, copier, postage meter, Fax, printer, multiple-line phone, paper folder, laminator, projector, and scanner.
· Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Minimum Education and Experience
· Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and one year of office-related experience.
· High school diploma
· Driver's License
· Must be 18-years of age.
Physical Conditions and Nature of Work Contacts
· Regular contacts are made with individuals from other internal departments, outside organizations, and/or the general public for purposes of exchanging information which may require some judgment or interpretation.
· Communication is usually cooperative in nature, with infrequent conflicts resolved by higher authority.
· Involves frequent walking, lifting, and carrying objects weighing in excess of 40lbs routinely.
· Requires strenuous tasks including, bending, stooping, lifting.
· Work exposes employee to adverse weather.
· Ability to multi-task effectively.
· Requires frequent operation of a variety of office machines.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
