Summary :
The Environmental Services Team Lead is responsible for the efficiency and accuracy of the services being delivered by staff. The requirements of this position involve sanitizing and disinfecting all areas within the hospital and is the main defense to prevent the spread of infections.
Essential Job Functions :
- Monitors services for efficiency and accuracy by evaluating, initiating and participating in restructuring of current and new procedures, services, and / or programs.
- Serves as a resource for staff regarding policies, procedures, and practices. Assists in the orientation of new employees ensuring execution of procedures. Provides professional growth and educational opportunities to staff.
- Conducts quality checks to ensure quality and procedures are upheld and consistent.
- Completes reporting and record keeping requirements accurately and within established timelines.
- Advises Supervisor of significant and / or unexpected workflow variances. Communicates with Supervisor related to employee performance issues.
- Assists Supervisor in coordinating staffing and scheduling duties. Carries out time and attendance responsibilities according to established procedure.
- Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department / organization.
