The Senior Legal Support Professional, working under general supervision, is responsible for conducting research on laws and regulations to assist attorneys in providing legal advice to teams. The role drafts and edits correspondence, summaries, and other written materials under the guidance of attorneys. The role collaborates with attorneys to prepare for hearings, trials, and depositions, and manages legal correspondence and communications. The role identifies, diagnoses, and recommends solutions to administrative issues independently, collaborates across disciplines, and demonstrates advanced project management skills, contributing to legal department performance and goals. Conducts research on laws and regulations to assist attorneys in providing legal advice to teams and maintains up-to-date information about changes in laws and regulations that may impact the industry as a whole. Plays a significant role in departmental administrative initiatives, including redesign and simplification of legal support processes, licensing programs, and templates, and use of technologies to increase efficiencies. Drafts and edits correspondence, summaries, and other written materials under the guidance of attorneys. Ensures proper organization and maintenance of documents, materials, and files, and legal databases related to contract management and administration and corporate transactions. Supports various activities under litigation including, but not limited to, reviewing and summarizing pertinent records while meeting all deadlines and trial preparation activities. Collaborates with attorneys to prepare for hearings, trials, and depositions, and manages legal correspondence and communications. Cultivates effective relationships, shares knowledge, and demonstrates understanding of industry best practices. Identifies, diagnoses, and recommends solutions to administrative issues independently, collaborates across disciplines, and demonstrates advanced project management skills, contributing to legal department performance and goals. Education: Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Legal Studies and/or commensurate work experience is required. Experience: 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in areas such as Legal Document Preparation, Administrative Support, Case Management, or a related field. Industry experience is preferred.
