What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant/Leasing position at Devonshire Real Estate & Asset Management?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of Ideal Candidate:
- Collection of rent payments and management of customer service
- Address the concerns of current and prospective residents in a friendly and professional manner.
- Tours and leases apartments as necessary
- Leads communication with delinquent residents. This may involve lease termination and legal action if necessary.
- Help maintain the accuracy of resident ledgers and files.
- Inspects apartments during move-in and move outs, walking apartments and the community as needed.
- Encouraging lease renewals and negotiating terms to minimize vacancy rates.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Demonstrate an ability to support and contribute to community team.
- At least two (2) years of recent experience in position of an Assistant Manager and evidence of collection skills
- Bi-Lingual
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
- Must possess a positive attitude and the ability to smile under all circumstances.
- Ability to work most weekends.
- Apartment management experience preferred.
- Neat, clean, and professional always throughout the workday and/or whenever present at the community.
- Demonstrate ability to diffuse and respond to customer concerns to avoid escalation of the problem.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
