Dewberry is currently seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to join our Information Technology Group in our Fairfax, VA office. Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain detailed project plans for large-scale, complex projects that may involve multiple resource teams
- Facilitates all checkpoint control gates through the lifecycle of the project
- Prepare and present progress reports for project stakeholders
- Creates risk mitigation strategies to anticipate, assess and resolve project risks as they are encountered
- Implement a project communication plan
- Provide motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle
- Able to manage multiple projects that may vary in scope simultaneously
- Schedule cross-functional meetings to facilitate collaboration and resource availability
- Maintain project-related documentation which may include contracts, invoices, or payment records
Required Skills & Required Experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field is a plus
- Experience with implementation of CRM or HRM systems a plus
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate with leadership
- Strong customer service, research, and organizational skills
- Confident and effective interpersonal and time management skills
- Ability to work with all levels of the organization including executive leadership
- Utilize BI (Business Intelligence) tools for reports, dashboards, and charts
- 15 or more years’ experience
