What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper position at DeWinne Electric?
We are looking for an experienced financial professional to join our company as a Full Charge Bookkeeper. As part of our team, you will manage company ledgers, process payroll, and reconcile invoices, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Additionally, you will assist with reporting and regulatory requirements. Our ideal candidate has several years of prior bookkeeping experience, expert-level knowledge of Microsoft software, and experience preparing financial statements. You also need communication skills to explain financial concepts to other employees.
This position will also perform a wide variety of secretarial and clerical duties. This person must possess strong organization and time management skills with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks. This position will be responsible for answering phone calls, receiving visitors, filing, preparing reports, preparing correspondences along with daily bookkeeping.

- Updates filing systems and devises new filing and organizational and storage systems for data and documents as needed.
- Creates new files and provides needed information on forms and reports.
- Secures and protects the privacy of documents.
- Scans paper documents and verifies that scanned documents are clear and legible.
- Processes requests for files and data.
- Operates office equipment.
- Types and performs data entry.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills:
- At least (5) years experience as full charge bookkeeper..
- At least (2) years secretarial/clerical/administrative experience.
- Computer proficient with Microsoft Windows (Microsoft Word, Excel) and a variety of online database systems, managing files and records, designing forms and other office procedures and terminology.
- Strong reading comprehension, analytical and organization skills and abilities.
- Regular and punctual attendance.
