Thank you!JOB DESCRIPTION : Our Client is seeking an interim Payroll Manager to cover for an employee leave. This contract role will allow you to work in all aspects of payroll operations (vendors, systems, processes and integration). The Payroll Manager creates timely and compliant payrolls, in addition to streamlining processes and providing top-tier customer service.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES : Conduct payroll analysis, as neededManage the Payroll team and work to make it successfulPartner with other areas in Finance, as well as Human Resources, Tax, IT, and other departments as necessary for reporting, compliance and strategic analysisManage and monitor all internal and external auditsHandle payroll staff and operationsDevelop ideas with fellow members of senior Finance leadership teamCreate all weekly, monthly, and special compensation payroll runs. Clarify pay policies (LOA, disability, worker's compensation, vacation, bonus, etc.) and make sure proper amounts / deductions are applied to earnings codes in compliance with all local, state, and federal lawsBuild upon current processes by recommending, leading, and working on a range of projectsMaintain internal safeguards by managing record keeping and control systemsHandle pre- and post-payroll auditing / reconciling procedures and troubleshoot anomaliesHold meetings with senior executives and cross-functional business leaders to show information and to answer any questions they may haveMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : Education or Experience (in years) : More than ten years of Payroll experience preferredSound knowledge of payroll-related cloud-based technology solutionsCertified Payroll Profession (CPP) certification essentialKnowledge and skills : Proficiency in Payroll Design and ImplementationSkilled in a number of payroll applicationsStrong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)REPORT TO : Assistant ControllerPay Range : $40-$60 per hourCompensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate.
