HR Generalist
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This hands-on role requires a strong presence on the production floor, supporting our workforce and ensuring smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a consistent presence on the manufacturing floor, addressing employee concerns and HR-related issues in real-time
- Implement and oversee HR policies and procedures
- Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution and performance management
- Coordinate with production supervisors to address staffing needs and workforce planning
- Conduct on-the-spot training and orientation for new hires and transfers
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, safety regulations, and company policies
- Assist with payroll processing and time management
- Collaborate with the HR team to develop and implement employee engagement initiatives
- Participate in recruitment efforts, including interviews and onboarding processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite
Additional Requirements:
- Physical ability to walk the production floor regularly and stand for extended periods
- Willingness to wear appropriate PPE as required
This is not a traditional desk job. The successful candidate will spend a significant portion of their time on the production floor, actively engaging with employees and addressing HR matters in real-time.
