What are the responsibilities and job description for the Portfolio/Project Financials Analyst position at Dexian DISYS?
Job Summary:
Dexian is seeking a Portfolio/Project Financial Analyst for an opportunity with a client located in Charlotte, NC.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with program managers within DMT to govern program forecasts; report on outcomes of financial forecasting activity
- Report on and mitigate monthly variance between forecasts and actuals, keeping variances to a minimum
- Create allocation reports to track and manage project level resource allocations to monitor project forecasting
- Support the yearly planning process for project/initiative
- Aggregate and analyze project estimates (and required funding) across the various parts of the organization to derive a comprehensive team view
- Research funding or allocation gaps/discrepancies and assist in resolution
Requirements:
- Fast learner who works well independently as well as with a team
- College degree or equivalent work experience
- Finance background
- Previous experience with forecasting, allocations and/or program/project financial governance
- Expert Excel skills
- TPAS, PCM, PMMT
- Financial Analysis
- Ability to prioritize competing priorities as well as meet deadlines
- Strong financial experience
- Experience with forecasting and financial analysis to ensure proper portfolio financials are maintained to support efforts within funding limits
- Advanced Excel skills (to include pivot tables, sumifs & vlookups), general financial acumen, analytical skills, detail oriented
- Ability to manage, structure, and consolidate multiple sources of data into intelligent reports and stories, and take appropriate actions to remedy outlier situations
- Can operate assertively and independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong relationship, verbal and written communication, team building, and influencing skills
