Job Summary :
Dexian is seeking a Oracle Database Developer for an opportunity with a client located in Chicago, IL.
Responsibilities :
- Create logical data models and translate them into physical database schema designs, including defining tables, columns, relationships, and constraints
- Write complex SQL queries to retrieve, insert, update, and delete data efficiently
- Develop stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers using Oracle's PL / SQL language to implement business logic within the database
- Analyze database queries and identify performance bottlenecks, optimizing database structures and indexes to improve query execution speed
- Implement database security measures to control access to sensitive data and maintain data integrity
- May perform some database administration tasks like managing database backups, space allocation, and user management
- Work closely with application developers to understand application requirements and integrate database solutions
- Write test cases to validate database functionality and troubleshoot any issues that arise
