Claims Adjuster

Job Title: Claims Reviewer (Customer Service)

Location: Oriskany NY

Contract: 12 Months

Note:

• Training will be in the office - 3-5 weeks total of training.
• After training will be remote unless requested to come in on an as needed basis by the business.
• Will need to be onsite for training, monthly meetings, and for other business needs.

Role and Responsibility

• Core responsibility will be receiving and handling customer telephone inquiries related to Life Claims (Customer Service).
• Make return telephone calls as required to handle the original customer inquiry. Process incoming mail for new and existing claims (data entry).
• Build new claims and may process noncomplex claims.
• Determine if customer inquiry needs to be referred for follow-up.
• May need to review and determine next steps on expired call ups and perform any necessary follow-ups regarding the claim.

Requirement

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of experience in customer service or in a related area.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Works under immediate supervision and maintain quality and production standards as defined in the Teams' operational metrics
• 1-2 Years of customer service experience - experience on phones strongly preferred.
• Location: Must live within a commutable distance of the Oriskany NY office (Central NY).
