Location: Financial Crime Investigator/Research Assistant

Pay Range: $23-25/hr
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM (On-site)
Duration: 3 months (Potential for Extension or Full-Time Conversion)
Job Overview:
We are seeking detail-oriented professionals with strong analytical skills to join our AML (Anti-Money Laundering) compliance team. In this role, you will review financial transactions, analyze potential risks, and ensure compliance with AML policies and regulations. You’ll be responsible for identifying suspicious activity, documenting findings, and working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial transactions, customer data, and risk indicators to detect potential money laundering activities.
- Conduct quality reviews of compliance alerts to ensure they are properly handled.
- Prepare and document Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) when necessary.
- Utilize Excel (Macros, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs) for data analysis and reporting.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address compliance risks and improve processes.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in financial services, corporate environments, or related internships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an investigative mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Macros, Pivot Tables, and VLOOKUPs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in Mathematics or Economics.
- Experience with LexisNexis or other research tools.
- Military or Law Enforcement experience with strong adaptability to corporate environments.
