We are seeking a highly experienced Sr Data Architect specializing in HEDIS/STARS with over 12 years of expertise in end-to-end data warehousing architecture. The primary responsibility of this role is to define the Data Architecture for a HEDIS/STARS Data Mart, aligned with best practices for dimensional data modeling with conformed dimensions and facts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data warehousing and a strong foundational understanding of modern data architectures and cloud data platforms, including experience with building out Azure Cloud, Databricks, and Snowflake. Additionally, the candidate should have over 5 years of experience working as a healthcare data architect, specifically on HEDIS/STARS related data solutions. Key Responsibilities: • Define the Data Architecture for a HEDIS/STARS Data Mart, ensuring alignment with best practices for dimensional data modeling with conformed dimensions and facts. • Lead the Solution Blueprint effort to enhance the existing HEDIS/STARS Data Mart solution. • Design and implement a data middle layer utilizing a dimensional data model at the necessary level of grain for flexible and dynamic calculation of HEDIS/STARS measures. • Ensure best practices in data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration are followed.
Qualifications:
12 years of proven experience as a data architect responsible for defining dimensional data models for Data Warehouses and Data Marts, including conformed dimensions and facts.
5 years of experience working as a healthcare data architect, specifically on HEDIS/STARS related data solutions.
Extensive experience with building out modern data architectures and cloud data platforms, including Azure Cloud, Databricks, and Snowflake. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Skills:
Proven experience in leading solution blueprint efforts and enhancing data mart solutions. • Experience with SQLServer on-premises and cloud migration projects.
Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Self-hosted Integration Runtime (SHIR), Logic Apps, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS Gen2), and Blob Storage.
Strong understanding of data modeling best practices for Data Warehouses and Data Marts, including dimensional modeling with conformed dimensions and facts.
