Position Overview: The IT Project Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring successful implementation of IT initiatives through effective collaboration, clear communication, and strategic alignment. Acting as a liaison between technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership, this role focuses on facilitating smooth project execution, process improvements, and adherence to best practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the planning, execution, and delivery of IT initiatives aligned with organizational strategic objectives and operational requirements.
• Assist in developing detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and monitor project progress to proactively identify potential risks.
• Facilitate clear and effective communication between IT leadership, technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
• Track project deliverables, budgets, and timelines; escalate issues as necessary to maintain continuity and risk mitigation.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including decisions, lessons learned, and best practices for continuous improvement.
• Organize and facilitate project meetings, prepare status reports, and regularly update leadership and stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with IT leadership, technical teams, and business units to ensure alignment with overall IT and business strategies.
• Assist in defining project requirements and translating them into actionable implementation steps.
• Identify and support process improvement initiatives, including opportunities for automation, optimization, and increased efficiency.
• Ensure compliance of IT projects with industry standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the creation of user training materials and provide guidance during project transitions.
• Commit to a minimum of 10 hours of CRA volunteer work annually (compensable and mileage reimbursed).
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Project Management, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in project coordination, technical support, or a similar role.
• Familiarity with IT infrastructure, software systems, networks, servers, and enterprise business applications.
• Knowledge of IT project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools (MS Project, Jira).
• Proficiency in documentation and visualization tools (MS Project, Lucid Chart, or similar).
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and detail-oriented skills.
• Basic technical troubleshooting skills with the capability to assist in resolving technical challenges.
• Relevant certifications such as CAPM, PMP, CompTIA A , CompTIA Project , or ITIL are highly desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborative team player dedicated to cross-functional engagement and teamwork.
