Mailroom Specialist

Job Title: Mail Services Specialist

Location: Union, NY 10169

Pay: $27 - $30/hr.

Duration: 4 Months Contract with possible extension or may go permanent.

Job Overview:

The Mail Services Specialist will be responsible for handling and delivering mail, packages, copy products, and office supplies within a high-profile corporate environment. This position requires a strong focus on safety, professionalism, and customer service, as the specialist will work around senior leadership in a fast-paced global media and entertainment company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver mail, packages, copy products, and stationery to assigned locations per daily schedule.
• Ensure all received packages are delivered same day or notify the consignee of next-day delivery.
• Perform light concierge work, including restocking office and pantry supplies.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of mailroom and work areas.
• Follow strict safety protocols and procedures.
• Stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds as required by the role.
• Collaborate with internal departments and provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience: ~5 years of mailroom experience preferred (corporate office setting highly desirable).
• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Preferred Skills: Experience in reprographics (posters and signage) is a plus.
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Safety & Compliance Responsibilities:

• Successfully complete all required Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) training.
• Follow all HSE policies and procedures at all times.
• Participate in HSE programs, including incident investigations, audits, and assessments.
• Report any unsafe conditions or potential hazards immediately.
• Always wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Use proper material handling techniques to ensure safety.
• Operate warehouse equipment and machinery (e.g., pallet jacks, manlifts) only if trained and authorized.
