Pay range: $50 to $52 per hour
Job description:
You will have the opportunity to build your technical and leadership skills within one of the following or similar tracks: mechanical engineering, materials engineering, or chemical engineering. In addition, you will have exposure to formal and on-the-job training by:
• Lead the development of new product from the manufacturing engineering perspective
• Driving design for manufacture throughout the development process
• Developing cutting edge manufacturing processes
• Identifying equipment and executing capital plans to meet new program
• Communicating program status to various levels of the company
• Applying fundamental knowledge of Mechanical, Chemical, or Materials engineering
• Developing, evaluating, improving and documenting manufacturing processes that improve manufacturability and eliminate process inefficiencies.
• Collaborating with configuration control and design engineering regarding product tooling and design to ensure effectual production methods.
• Conferring with vendors in determining product specifications and arranging equipment, parts, or material purchase, and evaluating products according to quality standards and specifications.
• Working closely with production to develop, coordinate, and implement technical training for employees.
• Designing and developing manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes, and new products, and related fixtures and tooling that are consistent with zero defect level and low product cost.
• Trouble shooting and resolving technical problems.
• Proactively eliminate EHS hazards and ensure that work areas are safe at all times.
• Leads Kaizen teams
• Understanding of lean principles and systems thinking is needed to effectively lead the projects and process improvement initiatives.
Salary : $50 - $52
