What are the responsibilities and job description for the Platform Engineer position at Dexian?
Job Location: Plano, TX (3 days onsite & 2 days remote)
We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Dynatrace Engineer to join our infrastructure and observability team. This role goes beyond simply using Dynatrace—it requires deep technical expertise in installation, configuration, activation in containerized environments, and ongoing platform support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying, integrating, and maintaining the Dynatrace monitoring solution across hybrid and container-based architectures, ensuring comprehensive observability across our ecosystem.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5 years of experience administering Dynatrace in enterprise environments, including full platform setup and lifecycle support.
- Deep understanding of containerization and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker).
- Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Helm, etc.).
- Familiarity with APM concepts, service topology, distributed tracing, and log analysis.
- Experience integrating monitoring tools with ITSM and alerting systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization skills.
