Title : QC Technician
Location : Erlanger KY
Duration : 6 months, with potential to extend
The QC Technician will complete analytical and sensory testing to generate a certificate of analysis for multiple departments in the Erlanger location while following safety guidelines and following good lab practices. This role requires strong communication skills, prioritization based on laboratory demand, and adaptability with fast paced environments. This role will require the ability to work independently to push the laboratory team to success. The personnel that fill this role are expected to present a professional image to internal departments and facilitate the success of the operations group.
Primary Job Functions :
- Operate QC laboratory equipment
- Complete sample testing on time and accurately with quality and food safety in mind
- Assist Operations team with investigative testing and root cause determinations.
- Complete individual and group projects for the lab and Quality department
- Disposition failing and aged material appropriately to ensure food safety and quality of inventory is maintained
- Perform QC equipment checks and calibrations
- Maintain proper storage and organization of QC product retains
- Fulfil laboratory responsibilities in unsupervised situations including overtime / weekend presence on all shifts
- Assist the quality and food safety team, commercial, sales, and development teams with relevant projects and requests
- Communicate all outstanding quality issues with entire QC team
- Perform other duties as required
