Title: Quality Engineer
Location: Denton, TX 75067
Duration: 18 months (possible extension)
Pay rate: $35 - $40/Hr on W2
We are seeking a Quality Engineer with 3 years of experience, ideally in the food, drug, or cosmetic consumer products manufacturing industry. The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science (preferably Chemical Engineering or Chemistry) and experience in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Lean Manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma, and FDA regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide quality engineering support for new product development and process optimization in-house and at contract manufacturers.
- Lead investigations of non-conformances and quality metrics, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain) to address technical issues, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Conduct risk management and process improvement activities, including validation and equipment assessments.
- Monitor and optimize manufacturing processes using statistical control and problem-solving methodologies.
- Provide oversight and quality assurance for product launches and ongoing operations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related science field.
- 3 years of experience in manufacturing quality engineering, preferably in consumer products.
- Knowledge of quality tools (FMEA, etc.), GMP, and FDA regulations.
- Strong communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred.
Work Environment:
This is an on-site position at a client facility.
