About The Position
The Business Development Associate will assist Dexis in managing proposal submissions and driving capture development efforts. The Associate will also support crucial department functions, systems, and processes and conduct background research to inform partner, competitor, staffing, and technical strategies. The Associate will assist Dexis leadership in meeting business development targets by supporting both long-term and urgent opportunities.
Business Development functions will include conducting opportunity and client research, drafting technical inputs for proposal and RFI responses, and supporting recruitment efforts. The Associate must be flexible, customer service oriented, driven, and interested in learning the ins and outs of business development at a fast-paced, growing government contracting firm. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to client support, teamwork, and collaborating and learning, in order to best contribute to the overall goals and mission of the Dexis team.
This is a full-time position is based in Arlington, VA and will be required to be in the office one (1) day a week

Responsibilities
- Support bids as a proposal coordinator/manager in capture, live, and post-submission phases, including coordinating bid teams, developing calendars and outlines; managing partner communication; editing and production; and processing of BD consultant agreements and invoices.
- Drive capture efforts forward by conducting opportunity and client research.
- Conduct tracking to identify new strategic opportunities in line with Dexis priorities.
- Support the development and drafting of technical inputs in response to RFIs and RFPs.
- Support copyediting and formatting and production of proposals and related documents.
- Conduct proposal recruitment by sourcing candidates, formatting CVs, and screening prospective candidates.
- Support proposal graphics production, such as organizational charts, as appropriate.
- Contribute to quality control/quality assurance in all BD functions and operations through development, implementation, and continuous refining of BD processes, systems, tools, platforms, and best practices.
- Actively participate in increasing Dexis’ visibility through networking and participation in industry events.

- BA in business administration, finance, or related field.
- At least one year of work experience.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communications, and customer service skills.
- Ability to effectively support multiple, fast-paced assignments, juggle competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to produce clear, compelling, and accurate written and oral communications.
- Interest and ability in learning government contracting procedures and best practices.
- Ability to solve problems creatively, work collaboratively in a small team, and flexibility to adapt to changing requirements.
