The Director of Marketing for Distribution is responsible for developing and implementing effective marketing strategies to drive sales and growth for the company's distribution channel. This role requires a deep understanding of the distribution landscape, market trends, and customer needs. The Director will collaborate with corporate marketing, sales teams, merchandising teams, and customers to ensure that marketing efforts align with overall business objectives. This position will lead the development of creating and executing marketing programs within our distribution business that build brand awareness, drive customer purchases, and increase brand loyalty. The position will also ensure compliance with overall company brand, enhance communications strategies, and generate marketing support materials.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategy Alignment: Collaborate with senior management to develop and align on overall company growth plans for the North American distribution business. Oversee the development of marketing strategies and products for the distribution channel to support the company plan.
  • Channel Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies supporting the Company’s distribution branches and customers. Collaborate with Director of eCommerce and Digital Marketing Manager to develop and execute digital marketing campaigns including promotions and advertising efforts to increase product demand and enhance sales.
  • Channel Partner Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with distribution partners, providing them with the necessary marketing support and resources.
  • Brand Management: Oversee the management and development of the company's brand within the distribution channel, ensuring consistent messaging and branding across all touchpoints.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges within the distribution landscape.
  • Sales Enablement: Develop sales enablement tools and materials to support the sales teams in their interactions with distribution partners.
  • Performance Measurement: Track and analyze marketing performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and make data-driven adjustments.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals responsible for executing distribution marketing campaigns ensuring that the team has the necessary tools and resources to execute strategies and campaigns effectively.
  • Agency Coordination: Sourcing and working closely with various agency partners to ensure that marketing objectives and strategies are aligned with company goals and executed effectively.
  • Communications: Oversee communications for distribution - internal, external to customer base, and public such as letters, product information, programs, and seasonal promotions. Implement and execute on tools, resources and automation to improve overall communication tactics.


Minimum Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on distribution channels.
  • Strong understanding of the distribution landscape and market dynamics.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with digital marketing and e-commerce.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.


ADDITIONAL SKILLS (PREFERRED)

  • Knowledge of CRM and marketing automation tools.
  • Travel to branches, customers and industry events as required.
