Job Summary:

We are seeking a full-time Math Teacher to join our team at Dexter High School. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching mathematics to high school students and will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment. The teacher will develop effective lesson plans, foster a deep understanding of mathematical concepts, and inspire students to apply problem-solving skills both inside and outside the classroom.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.
• Must possess a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate.
• Must hold Secondary Teaching certification with an endorsement in Math (EX).
• Experience teaching High School Math preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans and educational materials.
• Knowledge of educational standards and best practices in teaching Math.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
• Create a positive and engaging classroom environment that promotes student learning and success.
• Assess student learning and progress through assignments, tests, and other forms of evaluation.
• Provide feedback to students and parents on student progress and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive and effective educational experience for students.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding educational goals and student progress.
• Responsibility of employee to obtain and maintain all training(s), certificate(s), approval(s), etc. and provide documentation to the Human Resource office before expiration date of said document(s).
