The Data Architect is responsible for designing and implementing effective database solutions and models to store and retrieve company data. This role involves analyzing the company's data needs, developing database and system data exchange solutions to meet those needs, and ensuring the security and efficiency of data storage and retrieval. The Data Architect will work closely with application developers, BI developers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the data architecture aligns with the company’s goals and objectives.

Responsibilities
- Data Architecture Design:
- Design and implement effective database solutions and models to store and retrieve company data.
- Define database architecture, including data models, schemas, and data flow diagrams.
- Data Integration:
- Develop strategies for data integration and data warehousing.
- Ensure data integration across multiple ERP systems and platforms.
- Database Development and Management:
- Design and optimize database structures for performance and scalability.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of databases, data lakes, and data warehouses.
- Data Governance and Quality:
- Ensure all data governance policies and procedures are followed.
- Ensure data quality and integrity across all data platforms.
- Security and Compliance:
- Monitor and manage data access and security protocols.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with application developers, BI Developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and develop solutions.
- Work with IT teams to implement and maintain data architecture solutions.
- Documentation and Training:
- Create and maintain documentation related to data architecture, policies, and procedures.
- Provide training and support to staff on data management and best practices.
Successful applicants will also have technical expertise with:
- BS Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5 years of work experience in data architecture, database design or related role.
- Strong knowledge with SQL Server, Azure SQL, Synapse
- Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
- Proficiency in SQL and other database query languages.
- Experience integrating data from multiple different ERP and source data systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
