Responsibilities :
- Design and prototype simple, scalable and robust electro-mechanical systems, including mechatronic assemblies for the entire robot stack, such as motors, power electronics, motor controllers, pneumatics, physical sensing using SolidWorks, KiCAD, FEA, and AutoCAD; design power and control panels with PLC integration, functional safety modules, and industrial machinery while adhering to standards like IPC, FCC, UL, and CE; test mechatronic solutions to quantify system performance and troubleshoot bugs utilizing lab test instruments (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators, logic analyzers etc.); measure, log and debug system health and performance using embedded C / C and Python; write and maintain design documentation and BOM, that clearly communicates device design, capabilities, and manufacturing / assembly / test / installation / maintenance procedures; perform FMEA analysis to identify possible modes of failure during design, manufacturing, deployment and maintenance; and utilize product lifecycle management tools, such as Jira and Arena.
- Multiple positions open. 25% travel required globally in the US, Canada, India, Taiwan, Japan, and Mexico.
