Job Description
The Stock Clerk receives, stores, and issues equipment, materials, supplies, merchandise, or tools, and compiles inventory records of items in stockroom at CMI's customer site in Virginia.
Key Job Functions
- Receive, review and process supplies and material requests
- Select and deliver stock-keeping units (SKU’s) and enter data into databases as required.
- Verify and receive all incoming inventory
- Maintain storage of assigned items within predetermined minimum and maximum quantities, reorder based upon assigned reorder points and prepare reports.
- Communicate with Office Supply vendor representative on service issues
- Manage and complete monthly paper order for all buildings
- Incoming shipments must be physically handled, opened, matched to original orders sent to Supply Vendor electronically, and delivered or placed upon shelves or in appropriate storage area.
- Damaged materials or items that do not meet specifications shall be identified and returned according to the vendors’ established policy.
- Stores articles in bins, on floor or on shelves, according to identifying information, such as style, size or type of material
- Fills orders or issues supplies from stock, prepares periodic, special or perpetual inventory of stock, and requisitions articles to fill incoming orders
- Compiles reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments,
- Mark identifying codes, figures, or letters on articles
Qualifications
- A minimum one-year experience in inventory/warehouse management
- Understanding of and ability to perform inventory management functions
- Skill in operating a personal computer (PC) with knowledge of commonly used computer systems such Windows 10, Outlook, Word, Excel
- Ability to process orders and procures stock from storage areas
- Ability to lift, handle, or move (with or without accommodation) packages, parcels, materials, supplies, equipment, small furniture items up to 70 pounds
