Dextra is seeking a highly motivated Associate to join its 11-person investment team and assist in sourcing, underwriting, and monitoring investments across all industries and strategies. The candidate should possess an entrepreneurial spirit and team mentality and will play a key role in shaping the future of Dextra. There will be a career track opportunity for talented professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate investment opportunities in i) private equity funds and ii) direct investments across the equity and debt capital structure by conducting due diligence, financial analysis, company, and market research
- Condense findings, draft investment memos, and present key takeaways to the team and investment committee
- Develop, foster, and grow relationships with leading private equity sponsors and investors
- Monitor investment performance and prepare periodic performance and valuation reports
- Collaborate with the Business Development and IR team and support fundraising efforts
- Actively present and participate in internal and external meetings. Opportunity to travel
Desired Skills:
- Entrepreneurial nature, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, or a related major
- 2 to 4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, private credit / leveraged finance, or a related field
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Base Salary Range: $115,000 - $135,000, plus bonus
