Job Summary
Our Chiropractic Healthcare setting is seeking a friendly, dedicated and detail-oriented applicant to join our team as an Administrative Assistant. As our Administrative Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of our chiropractic office. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the Chiropractor in delivering exceptional patient care by effectively registrating patients, maintaining efficient office procedures, and controlling the appointment schedule.
Responsibilities
- Compliant with HIPAA (Patient Privacy) guidelines
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Collect patient information and update medical records using electronic health record
- Assist with insurance verification and collections
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits, ensuring cleanliness and organization
- Educate patients on proper exercise techniques and and the doctor's recommendations when necessary
- Perform basic administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, responding to emails and texts, and managing office supplies
- Collect payment; in form of credit card, cash, and check.
- Ability to multi-task during peak patient volume hours. Example: Managing multiple patient statuses (checked in, waiting, being treated, checked out) while taking phone calls.
- Ability to create and maintain patient relations within the office setting
- Maintaining a positive attitude while interacting with others in pain
- Interest in wellness and healthy living

Experience
- Previous experience in an administrative or medical support role is preferred
- Personal or professional experience with chiropractic care
- Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus
- Proficiency in using computer skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Hours Requirements*:
*Please note that we are hiring for this position for both of our office locations: Grand Rapids and Wayland. One applicants may obtain both positions for a total of 28-30/week over 4 days.
Availability to start 7:15am two or three days a week
Availability to work 7:15 - 6:15pm two or three days a week
A set schedule will be determined upon hiring.
