Description
SUMMARY
The auto body technician at Orlando Auto Museum you will work with a variety of unique Classic cars, working to restore iconic vehicles and give guests a chance to see cars of the past displayed in their original form.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Automotive parts replacement, for vehicles that need chrome trim, emblem and bumper removal and/or installation
- Automotive body repair including sanding, and fiberglass repair.
- Metal sand blasting to restore the smooth surface of parts
- Powder coating of parts to restore finish.
- Paint correction to restore vehicle finishes where applicable.
- Wet sanding, polishing and ceramic coating of vehicles.
- Refinishing of auto glass.
- Restoration and polishing of chrome parts.
- Notifies management of any additional repairs needed.
- Notifies management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised time.
- Maintains tools and equipment in a proper state of repair.
- Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
- Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners and other hazardous materials. Reports any deviations to management
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. The employee is expected to work in other areas of the property when needed to assist operations to perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description.
Qualifications
- One (1) year experience in automotive related industry
- A proven work ethic with excellent communication skills.
- Self-Motivated and Reliable
- Good Decision Making
- Ability to work in high areas.
- Work well independently and as a team.
- Ability to Lift 50 lbs.
