GENERAL SUMMARY
The Customer Order Administrator is responsible for order processing services for the Municipal or Industrial Business Unit by receipt of orders and change orders from DeZURIK representatives. Order Administrators are ultimately responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all customer orders. Order Administrators are also responsible for receiving, reviewing and processing customer change orders. This position is responsible for the accuracy of the order to the customer purchase order, verifying product combinations, reviewing product modifiers, calculating & verifying pricing, discounts, commissions, valve actuator extension lengths and evaluating information for accuracy to customer purchase order for configuration, dollar value, applicable tax rates and addresses.
This position is currently eligible for DeZURIK’s hybrid work schedule.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
Normal manufacturing and office environment. When working occasionally in some shop areas, personal protection equipment (PPE) will be recommended and/or required (safety shoes, safety glasses w/side shields, hearing protection, face shield, gloves, apron and boots). Must have the ability to support extended business hours to meet customer business needs.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
- Promote and encourage a “Customer First” culture within DeZURIK.
- Have a proactive mindset when helping customers always thinking of the next steps and taking the initiative to mitigate future problems that could arise.
- Proactively work on cost reductions, improving quality of revenue and customer order quality.
- Provide timely customer order processing services with high degree of accuracy.
- Reviewing product pricing, discounts, commissions, taxes, and evaluate order information for accuracy. Ensuring the details match the customer purchase order.
- Validate order information with Sales Representatives, Sales Managers, Application Engineers, and all other personnel internally and at multiple DeZURIK locations as required. Obtain Customer Purchase Orders in a timely manner and PO Change Orders; and assure order configurations, dollar values, discounts, and all pertinent information match customer PO. Process through electronic data management system to get into the financial workflow.
- Obtain Sales Tax Exempt Certificates when required and update Sales Tax database.
- Ensure the tax documents are accurate and appropriate tax rates are applied to the order.
- Issue customer credit for orders as directed by the change order process or DeZURIK Leadership.
- Utilize Electronic Content Management System for electronic sales order filing.
- Support process improvements to the entire order processing system.
- Provide backup support for all Order Administrators as required. Assist in training new team members as needed and Sales Representatives as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or similar education & experience in an equivalent field.
- 4 years of experience in Order Entry or similar positions.
- Good mechanical and mathematical aptitudes.
- Knowledge of DeZURIK products and internal order flow is preferred.
- Requires effective communication skills in working with customers, representatives, and all departments internally and at other DeZURIK locations.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Skilled in Outlook, Microsoft programs such as Excel & Word, Adobe. Knowledge with Oracle Netsuite a plus.
- Strong keyboarding proficiency required.
- Able to work independently & in a collaborative team setting.
- Physical demands are typical of an office position including extended periods of sitting, and extensive use of a personal computer and telephone.
