Description:
Quality Control (50%):
- Inspect and test milk and dairy products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Document and report any quality issues or deviations from standards.
- Work closely with the quality assurance to address and resolve quality concerns.
- Conduct regular audits and maintain quality control records.
Receiving (50%):
- Receive and unload incoming shipments of milk and dairy products.
- Inspect containers for damage and verify that deliveries match purchase orders.
- Record and document received goods, including quantities and any discrepancies.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of liquid containers to maintain product integrity.
- Perform physical labor related to moving and organizing products.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Clean and wash containers, equipment, and work areas to maintain a hygienic environment.
- Follow safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training is a plus.
- Previous experience in a quality control or receiving role, preferably in a food or dairy plant, is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and lift heavy containers as required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to document and report findings accurately.
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation practices in a food production environment is preferred.
