Dakota Unlimited (a division of Dakota Fence Company, along with Dakota Fence, 3D Specialties, Sign Solutions USA, Dakota Playground, Park & Play USA, Town & Country Fence, West River Striping, Stadium Steve, DFC Property Management) is a growing fence contractor primarily involved in residential/commercial fence, gates and automated gate systems. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 am - 5:00 pm (additional hours as necessary during the construction season)
Summary:
- Manage daily operations, sales activities, facility functions, and financial performance while ensuring safety priorities are met.
- Provide direction to sales and operations teams, hold team members accountable for achieving company objectives, and foster a positive work environment.
- Drive and sustain competitive advantages through continuous improvement initiatives, including cross-branch collaboration.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships within the branch and with other company locations.
- Oversee escalations related to customer service, procedural questions, and HR issues.
- Guide teams on resource allocation and project timelines to ensure efficiency.
- Hire, train, and manage personnel while conducting regular performance reviews and fostering accountability.
- Collaborate with leadership on budget preparation, forecasting, and company initiative recommendations, ensuring accountability for achieving targets.
- Monitor sales forecasts, project leads, and sales development efforts while maintaining insight into the branch's backlog and pipeline.
- Engage in activities to identify and secure new business opportunities, including expanding services and customer base.
- Understand the local market and identify growth opportunities while promoting a positive company image.
- Participate in professional development and attend relevant conventions and sales functions.
- Perform other tasks as assigned to support company objectives.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelors degree in construction management, engineering, business, or related field.
- Minimum (5) five years of experience supervising and managing diverse teams (ideally sales and operations).
- Construction or related-industry knowledge and experience preferred.
