What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wound Care Nurse Practitioner position at DFS Advanced Wound Care?
Overview
This is a senior level position that will be required to manage other staff, as well as clinically manage complex wound care cases.
This is an enormous career opportunity to learn multi-disciplinary wound care that is not currently practiced elsewhere in Utah, but is practiced at the best wound care centers around the country.
There is an opportunity to cross train in vascular care as well as limb salvage.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Perform surgical debridement, apply wound vacs, and properly dress wounds.
- Manage wound care RN to ensure proper case management of all wound care patients.
- Take a multidisciplinary approach to wound healing by working with different health care teams across specialties.
- Provide education to patients and families and ensure the entire wound care team can support education efforts.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed, ensuring optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Experience
- Current Nurse Practitioner certification and state licensure is required.
- Significant wound care experience is required, as well as experience managing staff.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $65.00 - $80.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
