Duties:
- Perform administrative tasks to support pre-litigation paralegals such as filing, organizing documents, requesting, and maintaining medical bills and records
- Accurately prepare case details for form letters to insurance companies, clients, and healthcare providers
- Answer phone calls
- Transcribe notes and correspondence accurately
- Accurately maintain case management data
- Provide excellent customer service to clients
- Effectively manage a case load of up to 125 cases
- Acquire and review medical and billing records throughout the treatment phase of the case
- Successfully support a cooperative team dynamic with pre-litigation paralegal
- Requests open records
- Ensure that records requests are submitted for all cases
- Maintain and stay current on tasks to maintain case progress
Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Proficiency in computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook or similar software
- Attention to detail and accuracy in transcribing information
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Previous experience in personal injury is preferred
- Familiarity with office procedures and equipment
