What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Project Manager position at DGC Glass Systems?
Essential Functions and responsibilities:
- Provide effective communication with customer and project team. This includes regular phone calls, emails, taking and distributing meeting minutes and maintaining and distributing various reports and logs
- Project Manager responsible for the development of a complete project
- Regularly communicate schedule expectations to team members and consistently follow up on project milestones and goals
- Coordinate and submit all required product submittals per specification and contractual requirements and exclusions
- Work closely with engineering staff, vendors, subs, the Senior PM and our customer to write, resolve and fully process RFI in a timely manner
- Responsible for collaboration with Engineering and outside vendors on the incorporation of approved changes into shop drawings
- Responsible for preparing material takeoff packages to meet project sequencing and delivery requirements and placing purchase orders
- Responsible all activities related to contract administration, change orders, close out documents, submittals, material procurement, project financials, and scheduling to help ensure that the projects are completed in a quality, profitable, safe & timely manner.
- Project Manager is responsible for coordinating manpower, tools, equipment, and project materials/deliveries.
- Negotiate pricing, issue purchase orders, change order requests, maintain RFI/change order/material logs, create submittal packages, installation and fabrication cut lists, vendor and contractor relations.
- Attend meetings / visit job sites.
- Help build and maintain relationships with client, subcontractor and supplier base
