Job description
DGE Investments is looking for a Make Ready Technician to join our team to help run a 208 unit property in Harlingen, TX.
Job Summary: The Apartment Make Ready Technician is responsible for preparing vacant apartments for new tenants. This includes performing repairs and maintenance to ensure that each unit meets company standards for safety, quality, and aesthetics.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspection and Assessment:
- Conduct thorough inspections of vacant apartments to identify necessary repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Assess the condition of appliances, fixtures, and systems.
Repairs and Maintenance:
- Perform minor repairs including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
- Replace or repair fixtures, appliances, and flooring as needed.
- Ensure all systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) are functioning properly.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with property management and other maintenance staff to prioritize make-ready tasks.
- Communicate any major issues that require further attention or specialized services.
Documentation:
- Maintain records of work performed, including repairs, replacements, and cleaning tasks.
- Report inventory needs for maintenance supplies and equipment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
- Proven experience in maintenance or construction, preferably in a residential setting. At least one year of apartment maintenance is highly preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements:

Work Environment: The position may require working in multiple units and on different properties. Flexibility to work weekends or after hours may be necessary during peak turnover periods. Regular schedule would be Monday-Friday 8:30 - 5:30.

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
