ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Obtain release to pack from DG Specialist.
• Pull freight from racking and scan it into the packing area.
• Repack freight according to release to pack verify if RTP is correct.
• Advise DG specialist if anything is leaking or damaged inside of the box.
• Assists in taking measurements of freight to be packed and verifying quantities and part numbers.
• Create box ID’s upon freight being packed.
• Home freight in racking upon completion.
• Advise management of low stock of packing supplies.
• Clean working area and surrounding areas as assigned.
• Assist carpenters or receivers with receiving duties.
• Maintain and take care of company equipment and property.
• Demonstrate safe lifting techniques and adhere to all safety regulations, policies, and guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICIATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• 1-2 years of experience as Packer in related industry field, i.e. freight forwarding, packing, warehousing, logistics, transportation, etc.
• Willing to relocate and work at other locations
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Forklift Experience 12k preferred
• Knowledge of Warehouse software - C2C
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft – Excel/Word/Outlook preferred
• Have hand tools experience, reading tape measure and use basic hand tools preferred

WORKING CONDICTIONS:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly for the duration of a shift.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, kneel, and lift cumbersome and/or heavy objects.
• Ability to work prolonged and/or irregular hours.
• Ability to work through stressful situations.
• Must be able to navigate warehouse

Housekeeping Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in individual workspaces and shared areas.
• Follow the company’s housekeeping policies and procedures during daily operations.
• Dispose of waste in designated bins and ensure materials are stored safely and properly.
• Report any unsafe or untidy conditions immediately to supervisors.
• Participate in periodic cleaning schedules as assigned.
