Qualifications
DGR Engineering is looking for a Project Coordination Technician to contribute and support the planning and execution of projects in the Electrical Power Department. The Project Coordination Technician will be responsible for providing overall support and assistance to Project Managers and other staff as directed.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as a resource to the project manager
• Support the coordination and management of projects
• Work with multiple project managers on several projects at once
• Schedule, arrange, and attend team meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, including management of action items
• Log and track shop drawing submittals, change logs, RFIs, and other project-related items
• Process and manage contractor/supplier pay requests
• Monitor progress to ensure compliance with project schedules
• Proactively identify project issues and ensure they are resolved promptly
• Administer contracts, including routing of contract documents for approval
• Facilitate and attend bid openings at client locations
• Assemble subcontract agreements
• Assist project managers with paperwork and reports
• Develop power point presentations
• Manage and file documents
• Assemble project manuals, bidding packages, and other technical documents
• Coordinate with project participants to ensure effective communication
• Monitor and research potential grant opportunities to fund projects
• Complete tasks assigned by the project manager in an efficient and timely manner
• Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Education: Minimum of 2-year or 4-year college degree in a relevant discipline
• Minimum of 3 years working in a relative office environment in a relevant capacity
• Previous experience in project controls or a similar role preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
• Experience with Microsoft Project a plus, but not required
• Strong time management abilities
• Highly organized and able to multitask
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
