DGR Engineering's Civil Engineering and Surveying departments specialize in the design of roadways, subdivisions, airports, municipal utility distribution and collection lines, athletic & recreational facilities, and other related municipal, private and industrial civil engineering and surveying services.
Our Rapid City office has an immediate opening for a Survey Crew Chief.
Qualifications
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Survey Crew Chief with a minimum of an Associate’s Degree and 4 or more years of experience with land surveying equipment and computer-aided drafting software. Registration as a Land Surveyor (LS) in the State of South Dakota preferred.
The ideal candidate will work independently to operate survey equipment and perform topographic and boundary surveys, construction staking, processing of field survey data, and have a general understanding of Civil Engineering projects.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble GPS/robotics is desired. Project observation experience is also preferred.
Applicant must possess good communication skills and have the ability to work with a wide variety of clients. An ideal candidate will be self-motivated and will direct and ensure that projects are completed within technical, project, budgetary, and timeline constraints.
