Job Overview: Fence & Deck Installer
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fence & Deck Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive background in outdoor construction, with a strong focus on both fence and deck installation, including expertise with Trex composite decking. This role demands a hands-on approach, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in diverse outdoor environments.
Duties:
- Fence Installation:
- Install various fence types: wood, vinyl, chain link, and wrought iron.
- Accurately measure and mark fence lines using appropriate tools.
- Assemble fence panels and gates to precise specifications.
- Perform concrete forming for fence posts, ensuring optimal stability.
- Weld fence components when necessary.
- Deck Installation:
- Install various types of decking, with a specialization in Trex composite decking.
- Construct and install deck framing and substructures.
- Ensure proper gapping and utilize hidden fastener systems for composite decking.
- Install deck railings and stairs.
- Ensure proper foundation construction, including footings and piers.
- General Construction & Landscaping:
- Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently.
- Perform landscape maintenance around installed fences and decks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Fence & Deck Installation: Extensive experience with various fence and deck materials and installation techniques.
- Trex Composite Expertise: Specific and provable experience installing Trex composite decking.
- Foundation Knowledge: Experience in constructing stable foundations, including concrete forming, footings, and piers.
- Tool Proficiency: Mastery of hand and power tools relevant to fence and deck installation.
- Welding (Advantageous): Ability to weld for specific fencing materials.
- Construction Safety: Thorough knowledge of construction site safety practices and procedures.
- Problem-Solving: Strong ability to troubleshoot issues during installation.
- Carpentry Skills (Beneficial): Experience in carpentry or related fields.

Pay: $24.58 - $26.72 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
