Gooseneck Driver/Sawmill and Warehouse Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Delivery Driver/Warehouse and Sawmill Assistant to join our team. This role involves both sawmill and warehouse duties along with driving responsibilities, ensuring the efficient handling of materials and timely delivery to our clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience with various types of trucks, and a commitment to safety and quality service. Along with the ability to communicate with customers in a professional manner. They will also need to be capable of balancing multiple job duties, as this position is a multiple job position.

Duties

• Operate a motor vehicle pulling a gooseneck trailer with materials.
• When required, unload material safely and efficiently, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Perform route driving to deliver products to designated locations in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs for vehicle operation and delivery confirmations.
• Conduct routine inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Assist in warehouse operations including inventory management, stock organization, and order fulfillment.
• Operate forklifts safely for loading and unloading tasks when required.
• Assist in sawmill operations including safely using a chainsaw to cut logs needed, help stack material for warehouse, sawdust collection and removal, help maintain a clean and safe work environment, and other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license, with a clean driving record. CDL not required but is a benefit.
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
• Previous experience as a delivery driver or in route driving is highly desirable but not required.
• Ability to load and unload materials safely.
• Forklift and loader operations.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Must be able to lift heavy items as needed.
• A positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Must be able to pass a drug screening.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
