Job Title: CSA Construction Manager

Salary: Up to $130,000 a year
Job Description:
The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, organization, and direction of construction and maintenance activities for structures, facilities, and systems. This role involves coordinating with supervisory personnel, contractors, design professionals, and owners to resolve issues and ensure smooth project execution. The Construction Manager is tasked with developing project schedules, managing procurement processes, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality control, and regulatory standards. Additional responsibilities include preparing progress reports, reviewing contractor payments, and overseeing cost management and project close-out procedures. The position is available for three trades: Mechanical and HVAC, Electrical, and CSA, in Jeffersonville, OH.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Coordination
- Plan, organize, and oversee activities related to the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems
- Develop project schedules, allocate time for deadlines, and ensure effective project delivery strategies
- Coordinate the procurement process, select contractors, and assist with contract paperwork and change management
Stakeholder Communication & Problem Solving
- Collaborate with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to address and resolve work procedures, complaints, and construction issues
- Conduct weekly construction meetings to ensure alignment and progress
Quality & Safety Management
- Implement and oversee QA/QC quality control plans
- Manage safety plans and ensure compliance with safety standards
Permit & Compliance Oversight
- Coordinate building permits and ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations
Progress Monitoring & Reporting
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports
- Review contractor payment applications and recommend payments to the client
- Create and track cost reports for the client
Project Close-out
- Coordinate the preparation of punch lists and manage the project close-out process
Additional Duties
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Qualifications:
Experience
- 7 years of relevant industry experience
- 5 years of field experience and 10 years of project management experience
Trade Experience
- Experience in one of the following trades: Mechanical and HVAC, Electrical, or CSA
Project Background
- Experience with projects in EV battery, semiconductor, automotive, data center, logistics, or heavy industrial/commercial sectors
Contract Scope
- Managed projects valued between $25M and $100M
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying, or related field, with 7 years of relevant experience
Skills & Abilities
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and presentation skills
- Strong construction estimating abilities and proficiency in procurement strategies and project scheduling software
- Ability to navigate Web-based construction management software provided by clients
Technology Proficiency
- Proficient in IT tools including Internet, Intranet, Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft Project
Certifications & Licenses
- Building construction/state license
- 30-hour OSHA safety training
- CMAA/PMI certifications
