Job Summary
The Seaman plays a vital role in the operation and maintenance of a vessel, ensuring safety and efficiency while at sea. Duties
- Assist in the navigation and operation of the vessel under the supervision of senior crew members.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Support cooking and meal preparation as needed, adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
- Rig equipment and assist with loading and unloading cargo safely.
- Provide exceptional customer service to passengers, addressing their needs and ensuring a pleasant experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in living quarters, dining areas, and workspaces.
- Participate in safety drills and adhere to all maritime regulations and protocols.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Seaman or in a similar maritime role is preferred but not required.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Experience or training in hospitality or customer service is highly desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to vessel operations and maintenance.
- Must possess a valid maritime certification or be willing to obtain necessary certifications.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
