Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the overall accounting functions of the organization. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in various accounting software.
Responsibilities
- Perform data entry tasks to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Prepare and maintain journal entries and assist with general ledger accounting.
- Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and payment tracking.
- Utilize accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or Workday for daily operations.
- Assist in tax preparation and compliance activities as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of financial reports.
- Support month-end closing processes by reconciling accounts and preparing necessary documentation.
- Maintain organized records of financial documents for easy retrieval.
Experience
- Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is preferred.
- Familiarity with Kronos or similar timekeeping systems is a plus.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in data entry with a high level of accuracy.
- Experience with general ledger accounting practices is beneficial.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have 3 Years or more Experience
- Payroll Experience is a Plus.
