DHI - HSE Advisor
Location: West Odessa Facility
DUTIES AND REPSONSIBILITIES
- Provide safety leadership and training to DHI employees
- Audit field locations for safety compliance
- Incident investigation
- Frequent travel to remote job sites to assess safety status
- Ensure employee compliance with company HSE and OSHA policies and procedures
- Conduct monthly safety meetings
- Conduct tailgate safety meetings
- Coordinate with Corporate HSE Director to revise policies and procedures as necessary
- Interfaces effectively with peers and peer groups
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and rules
- May also perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
EDUCATION
- Associate degree preferred
- Safety Certifications (OSHA 30, HAZWOPER, etc.)
EXPERIENCE
3-5 years’ experience in oil and gas or mining in a safety, management, or technical role
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Good problem-solving skills and detail oriented
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience working with mid to upper-level management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building strong customer relationships
- Strong PC skills including a high level of proficiency in Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and Hazardous Material management concepts and techniques
- Ability to train and educate employees on safety, OSHA, and DOT management concepts
- Highly organized with the ability to handle confidential information in a discreet manner
- Ability to function independently and take the initiative until activities are complete
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to function under pressure while handling multiple assignments
